We welcomed guests to the tea gathering ' A Crossing Point' at 92art Studio, Akasaka, Tokyo. Through my lecture and demonstration, we encouraged the guests to experience the world of chanoyu (or the way of tea). The tea gathering was a combination of YAZAWA's contemporary art and the traditional art of chanoyu, which created the true “一期一会” - once in a lifetime meeting. Harmony, respect, purity and tranquility are the four important principals of Chanyou. I was glad to see the guest enjoyed the spiritual and multi-sensory experience of chanoyu by sharing a bowl of tea and the surrounding serene atmosphere.

This is a newly published book of Japanese style gardening, specially designed for Chadou - Tea Ceremony. They introduced our place for few pages. The garden is a limited space on sixth floor balcony, and you can find more than fifty kinds of wildflowers there which amaze people. We enjoy them bloom each season, and arrange some in our tatami tea room for our regular "keiko", or practices, and "chakai", tea gatherings.
